Blakely Island Property Owner Refutes Shoreline I&C
Shoreline owners on Blakely Island hired Dr. Lyndon C. Lee, Ph.D., of L. C. Lee & Associates to review the County consultant's inventory and characterization of their properties. Dr. Lee is a national wetland and river science and regulatory expert. His on sight visit revealed inaccuracies in the January 2012 Shoreline Inventory and Characterization Report prepared for San Juan County by Herrera et al. You can read LCLee Technical Memorandum.

My wife and I came to San Juan Island in 2009 to enjoy the wonderful ambience of these Islands. Like many friends and neighbors, we are environmentally oriented, I having retired from 40 years of ocean technology work, and she a long career in public relations. We both are alarmed by San Juan County’s recent CAO developments and public disclosures --her from a public information perspective, and I from an ocean sciences point of view.
